First there is needed a photo and an idea.
- Photo - showing real face of caricaturised person,
- Idea - how to picture this person (some usual accessories, gadgets, or showing as fantastic non-real character - everything is possible here).
Below example of myself: I pictured myself as "Bebok" night spirit in Slavic Mythology and Folklore.
STEP 1: Sketch:
I start from general sketch done by light pencil (H).
STEP 2: Inking:
Ready sketch is covered by black ink. Usually I use a nib and ink, sometimes, however I use the fineliner with black ink. See some time-lapse movie, showing this process.
STEP 3: Shading:
This is the last step. Here I am using various types of pencils to put many shades of grey and black to the drawing. Usually they are from B, 2B, 3B to 4B and 5B for black areas. See below time-lapse movie, showing this process.
